Mirren Kessling

Mirren Kessling 16, from the Downs School Berkshire, began exhibiting her artwork last year after running up a huge mobile phone bill. Initially she sold pages from her GCSE sketchbook but since then has exhibited with Jelly at Reading Contemporary Art Fair, Modern Artists Gallery, Jam Factory Oxford and the Cornerstone Art Centre. Mirren is working towards her first solo show at the Jam Factory in November 2010, she is one of the three finalists for the Ginny Gray Art Idol Competition. Mirren was on the design team for Laurence Llewelyn Bowen’s “Glampire” inspired lights for the Blackpool Illuminations, to be unveiled later this month.

On Saturday the 14th of August 2010, between 12-6pm Mirren will be doing a live drawing with “Jelly” for Inside:Outside festival in Reading.
