Third Thursday, 17 March 2011

The next Third Thursday on 17 March will see the launch of Outside Inside Festival 2011 at Bang and Olufsen in the Market Place. Come along and join us from 6pm, and see film presentations on several LCD & LED TVs or on the 110” projector screen. The art festivities will continue in Market Place with performance theatre, spoken word and arts.

Phil McMichael (Bang and Olufsen), host of the event, and Jack Hepplewhite, (Director of outside inside Festival Ltd), will then launch outside inside 2011 with a special screening of some highlights form last years film festival.  Phil will be showing the film presentation on several LCD & LED TV’s around the showroom simultaneously so you can observe the content in it’s sharpest detail close to hand and of course he will be using the 110” Projector screen to it’s full potential should you wish to feel like you are actually at the cinema. Phil is a founder member of the Business Improvement District Committee and is particularly driven to use this arena to support all ‘event’ based activities in the town centre such as the Outside:Inside Festival, Eat Reading and Markets for Market Place and is delighted to be hosting the launch event for the 2011 Outside:Inside

The Third Thursday is a new monthly event showcasing the creative talent of Reading,  including visual, literary, music and performing arts.  All the events are held in non-traditional arts venues around the town centre, on the Third Thursday of each month. The team behind Third Thursday will be able to tell you more about the future programme and how you can become involved – we have some real treats lined up!

Reading UK CIC is proud to support jelly and Third Thursday.
“We believe that our cultural life is one of the things that makes Reading great. Our town’s energy and our commitment to the arts are just two of the reasons so many people want to live and work here.”
